The fourth fard is “To establish daily Salat”.

Salat, which involves the 5 daily compulsory prayers, is the second pillar of Islam. Salat is the direct communication
between Allah and his servants (mankind). Very often due to the busy lifestyle Muslims come up with excuses for
not performing their daily prayers on time or even not praying at all. But are all excuses valid?
In this lecture, Ustadh Mahmud goes through the importance of establishing salat as Muslims and the consequences of
leaving this fard.

The series of lectures entitled 54 Fara’id, delivered by Ustadh Mahmud A.Kürkçü, covers the basics of Islam as
enumerated by the great Imam of the tabi’een, Hasan Al-Basri (rh). It is incumbent upon every Muslim to be aware
of and put these basic principles into practice in their daily lives.
