The third fard is “To make Wudhu when it is required”.

Wudhu is an essential part of a Muslim’s religious practices. In fact, one cannot pray without Wudhu or even touch
the Qur’an. In this lecture, Ustadh Mahmud covers various aspects of wudhu, including the parts of the body that
require washing as well as when it is compulsory to perform wudhu and the consequences of not being in a
state of wudhu for acts of worship that require it.

The series of lectures entitled 54 Fara’id, delivered by Ustadh Mahmud A.Kürkçü, covers the basics of Islam as
enumerated by the great Imam of the tabi’een, Hasan Al-Basri (rh). It is incumbent upon every Muslim to be aware
of and put these basic principles into practice in their daily lives.
