The first fard is “To believe in the Oneness of Allah and to be constant in His remembrance (Dhikrullah)”.

Many Muslims of today have turned away from the practice of making dhikr and even go to the extent of opposing it.
Allah says in the Qur’an “Verily in dhikr of Allah do hearts find peace” (13:28).

In this lecture Ustadh Mahmud looks at the importance of engaging in regular remembrance of Allah (swt) and its
positive impact on the spiritual heart. He also explains the methods of dhikr as prescribed in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The series of lectures entitled 54 Fara’id, delivered by Ustadh Mahmud A.Kürkçü, covers the basics of Islam as
enumerated by the great Imam of the tabi’een, Hasan Al-Basri (rh). It is incumbent upon every Muslim to be aware
of and put these basic principles into practice in their daily lives.
