The eleventh fard is “To count one’s blessings and show Gratitude (Shukr) for Allah’s bounties”.

Shukr (gratitude) is thanking Allah s.w.t. who is the One who grants us blessings through His generosity. In this video, Ustadh Mahmud explains the meaning of Shukr and the three essential components of Shukr. He shares stories of how the pious servants truly acknowledged Allah s.w.t for their infinite blessings. Through this video, we can learn various ways of becoming thankful servants to Allah s.w.t.

The series of lectures entitled 54 Fara’id, delivered by Ustadh Mahmud A. Kürkçü, covers the basics of Islam as enumerated by the great Imam of the tabi’een, Hasan Al-Basri(rh). It is incumbent upon every Muslim to be aware of and put these basic principles into practice in their daily lives.
